Date: Sept. 27, 2026 Participant: The Fenster #31400 Race: 2026 Boulderthon 10K Distance: 6.2 miles

Steady Pace Highlighted by a Strong Fifth Mile The Fenster completed the 2026 Boulderthon 10K in 59:44, an overall pace of 9:38 per mile, finishing 650th out of the field of 3,071. The race unfolded with a fairly even cadence through the first four miles, hovering between 9:19 and 9:45 per mile. Mile 5 stood out as the fastest stretch of the race at 9:01, a solid surge before the pace eased to 10:33 over the final mile into downtown Boulder. Given the finish sits at over 5,000 feet of elevation, the mid-race pickup reflects well-managed effort. Consider working on maintaining that mile-5 rhythm deeper into the race next time.
