Steady Start Fades Late in 10K Finish Aidan Hewett completed the 2026 Boulderthon 10K in 1:02:48. Racing at over 5,000 feet of elevation, Hewett opened with his fastest mile of the day, covering the first in 9:31, then held closely to that rhythm through mile 2 at a 9:11 split. The middle miles cost him some ground, with mile 3 slipping to 10:02 and mile 5 to 10:15, before the final mile stretched out to 12:01 as the pace settled to close the race. The opening two miles proved to be the strongest stretch of the day, with Hewett's cumulative pace sitting under 9:30 per mile through that point before gradually easing over the back half of the course.
