Steady Effort Through a Shifting 10K Pace Adele Zawada finished the 10K in 1:04:42, an average pace of 10:26 per mile in a field of 3,071. Her race opened strong, with the first two miles clicking off at 10:06 and 9:59the fastest sustained stretch of her day. From there the pace eased gradually through miles three and four before rebounding to 10:03 in mile five, showing good recovery before the final mile, which slowed to 11:30 as she closed out the course. Racing at Boulder's altitude of over 5,000 feet adds context to that overall effort, and building more consistency between miles three and six could help smooth out the closing pace next time.
