Steady Pace Through a Tiring Back Half Bliss Bernal covered the 2026 Boulderthon 10K in 1:04:04, a pace of 10:20 per mile. Her race opened strong, clicking off the opening mile in 9:32, the fastest mile of her day, before settling into a gradual fade through the middle miles. Mile four slowed to 10:48, but she answered with a strong rebound in mile five, dropping back to 10:00 before the pace eased again over the closing mile. Bernal's effort played out at Boulder's altitude of over 5,000 feet, a factor worth noting given the pace she held through the early miles. With a solid opening mile and a mid-race recovery already in hand, a touch more consistency across miles three and four could smooth out the overall arc of her next 10K.
