Strong Start Fuels Steady 10K Finish Amy Fleck completed the 2026 Boulderthon 10K in 57:37. Her race began briskly, covering the first mile in 7:57 before easing through the middle miles, settling into a 9:19 min/mile pace by the finish. The early pace was her fastest mile of the day, and though the effort gradually slowed mile to mile, she maintained a steady, controlled progression through the back half of the course. Racing at Boulder's altitude of over 5,000 feet, Fleck's early speed set a strong tone before the course's demands caught up with her in the closing miles. With her final surge bringing her into downtown Boulder, she can take confidence from that opening mile as a benchmark of her fitness a pace worth chasing further into future 10Ks.
