Date: Sept. 27, 2026 Participant: Joseph Aamidor #31000 Race: 2026 Boulderthon 10K Distance: 6.2 miles

Strong Age-Group Finish Despite a Slower Split Joseph Aamidor placed 61st overall and 45th among men, finishing 3rd in the M40-44 division in 43:53. Compared to his 2025 Boulderthon 10K, this was about a minute slower (42:51) and a few spots lower in both overall and gender rankings, though he still landed on the age-group podium in both years. His race built steadily through 6:42-6:52 miles before a dip to 7:26 in mile four. He rebounded with his fastest mile of the day, a 6:33 fifth mile, before easing to 8:02 over the final stretch to the Pearl Street Mall. Given Boulder's elevation above 5,000 feet, that mid-race surge stands out as the highlight of the effort. Holding closer to that fifth-mile rhythm through the finish could be a useful focus next time.
