Steady Early Miles Carry Solid 10K Finish Carlos Vidaurre completed the 2026 Boulderthon 10K in 1:19:20, an overall pace of 12:47 per mile. His race opened strong: the first two miles clicked off in 11:58 and 11:48, the most consistent mile-plus stretch of his day. Pace eased through the middle miles before he closed with a 12:05 fifth mile, showing that the early rhythm held up well over the course's midsection. Vidaurre's effort carried him to the finish on the Pearl Street Mall in downtown Boulder, a fitting capstone shared by every distance in the race. Running at more than 5,000 feet of elevation, his opening pace stands out as the clearest sign of a well-managed start to the race.
