Steady Early Pace Powers Solid 10K Finish Isaac Zachem finished the 2026 Boulderthon 10K in 50:36, an 8:09 min/mile pace, at over 5,000 feet of elevation in Boulder. Zachem opened briskly, covering the first mile in 7:41 and holding close to that rhythm through mile three (8:09). A mild dip arrived in mile four (8:30) before he rebounded with his fastest full mile of the race, a 7:47 fifth mile. The closing mile eased to 9:09, rounding out a race that trended from quick to controlled. His strongest one-mile stretch, that fifth mile, showed his best sustained effort of the day, a solid building block for future 10Ks on this course, which finishes on the Pearl Street Mall in downtown Boulder.
