Date: Sept. 27, 2026 Participant: Joelle Haensly #30836 Race: 2026 Boulderthon 10K Distance: 6.2 miles

Strong Mid-Race Surge Powers Solid 10K Finish Joelle Haensly completed the 10K in 1:01:46, an average pace of 9:57 per mile. Her race built steadily: after opening near 10:10 per mile through the first three miles, she picked up the tempo through miles four and five, clocking her fastest mile of the day at 8:51 before easing back to a 10:37 close. Finishing at over 5,000 feet of elevation, Haensly crossed the line on the Pearl Street Mall in downtown Boulder. With her mid-race surge already in place, she might look to carry that same rhythm through the final mile in future 10Ks.
