Date: Sept. 27, 2026 Participant: Daisuke Osawa #30844 Race: 2026 Boulderthon 10K Distance: 6.2 miles

Strong Start Fades Late but Holds Steady Overall Pace Daisuke Osawa finished the 2026 Boulderthon 10K in 47:42, a slower result than his 45:21 in the 2025 edition of the same race. His opening mile came in at 6:41, and he held sub-7:00 pace through the first three miles before easing over the back half, settling into the mid-7:00s and closing with a final mile in the 9:00s. The early miles were his strongest stretch, with the first 3.1 miles covering ground at close to 6:53 per mile pace. Racing at altitude in Boulder, sitting above 5,000 feet, Osawa's early pace reflects sound pacing instincts even as the closing miles slowed. A touch more discipline over the middle miles could help him carry that early rhythm further into the second half next time.
