Strong Start Carries Steady 10K Finish Rachel Stein completed the 2026 Boulderthon 10K in 53:59. In the 2024 Boulderthon 10K, she ran 49:38, so this year's race was slower by comparison. Stein's opening mile came in at 8:04, and she held that rhythm through mile two before easing slightly across the middle miles. The first two miles were her fastest stretch of the race, running at roughly an 8:00/mile pace before settling into the high 8:00s and 9:00s over the back half. Boulder's elevation, over 5,000 feet, adds context to the day's effort. The race finished on the Pearl Street Mall in downtown Boulder, capping a race built on an early, efficient pace that gradually eased as the miles accumulated.
