That result marks a significant jump from his 2023 Boulderthon 10K, where he ran 56:40 a improvement of over eight minutes. Delaney's race unfolded steadily through the first four miles, holding between 7:33 and 7:56 pace, before he surged to a 7:08 split in mile five, his fastest mile of the day. The final mile slowed to 8:41 as he closed out the course, still enough to finish with a 7:46 overall pace. Running the race at over 5,000 feet of elevation, Delaney's negative split into mile five stands out as the highlight of a well-paced effort.
