Steady Pace Through Downtown Boulder Closes Out a Solid 10K Alexa Rodriguez-Sheehan finished the 2026 Boulderthon 10K in 1:33:15. Her early miles were her quickest, opening in 13:39 and 14:17, before easing through the middle miles as cumulative pace drifted from 13:57 to 14:45 by mile four. She found her rhythm again with a strong fifth mile in 13:37, her fastest full-mile stretch of the race, before finishing out the final mile at a more relaxed effort. Boulder's elevation, over 5,000 feet, adds a layer of difficulty to any pace management, and Rodriguez-Sheehan's ability to rebound with that fifth-mile push speaks well of her pacing instincts. Runners looking to build on this result might consider working on sustaining that mid-race energy through the later miles as well.
