Date: Sept. 27, 2026 Participant: Kathy Schaeffer #30968 Race: 2026 Boulderthon 10K Distance: 6.2 miles

Steady Miles Early, Strong Finish Kick Fades Late Kathy Schaeffer completed the 2026 Boulderthon 10K in 1:02:20, an elapsed pace of 10:03 per mile. Her pace here ran slightly slower than the 9:50 per mile she posted at the 2024 Boulderthon Half Marathon, though the shorter distance and different course make a direct time comparison less meaningful. Schaeffer's opening three miles were remarkably even, each clocking in at 9:46, before a slight dip to 10:11 in mile four. She rebounded with her fastest mile of the race, a 9:33 in mile five, before easing pace over the final stretch. Running at Boulder's elevation of over 5,000 feet adds context to the overall effort across those middle miles.
