Strong Early Pace Secures Podium Finish in Age Division Amber Wood-Jensen finished the 2026 Boulderthon 10K in 51:47, placing third in the F 50-54 division out of the field of 3,071. She opened with a brisk 7:28 first mile and held between 7:40-7:53 pace through the first three miles, briefly climbing to the division's top spot by mile four. The middle miles held steady in the low 8:00s before the final mile slowed to a 10:37 split, the race's clear turning point after a smooth, controlled effort through five miles. That closing stretch carried her onto the Pearl Street Mall, the finish line for every distance in Boulder, a city sitting above 5,000 feet of elevation. Her early-race rhythm through the first three miles stands as the strongest stretch of the day, a pace that would be worth reaching for again a bit longer next time.
