Steady Pace Carries Waite Through a Consistent 10K Timorae Waite finished the 2026 Boulderthon 10K in 1:03:45, holding a steady pace across the distance in the field of 3,071. Waite's mile splits stayed close through the race, ranging from 10:16 to 10:28 for the first four miles before a strong fifth mile at 9:21 min/mile, her fastest of the day. The final mile eased back to 10:52 min/mile as she crossed the finish in downtown Boulder. With the course sitting above 5,000 feet of elevation, this kind of even effort through the middle miles is a solid foundation to build from in future 10Ks.
