Strong Start Carries Sandoval to a Sharp 10K Finish Jackson Sandoval completed the 2026 Boulderthon 10K in 48:22, finishing 125th overall and 89th among men in a field of 3,071, placing 7th in the M15-19 division. This marks a shift from his 2025 Boulderthon marathon, where he ran 4:39:52 at a 10:40 min/mile pace a comparison that highlights his move toward a shorter, faster distance this year. Sandoval's opening mile was his fastest, clocked at 7:12, and he held pace between 7:18 and 7:34 per mile through the first five miles, showing steady control across the middle stretch. His final mile slowed to 8:53, the race's clear outlier, suggesting a slightly conservative closing effort. Given the strength of his first five miles, he may find value in preserving more energy for a stronger finish next time.
