Strong Front Half Fuels Top-10% Finish Jennifer Aldama finished the 10K in 50:56, placing 190th overall and 61st among women, in the top 10% of the field. Her early miles were steady and quick, clicking off 8:02 and 8:01 to open, then holding form through a slightly slower third mile at 8:12. She dipped to 8:37 in mile four before rebounding sharply. That rebound came in mile five, her fastest of the race at 7:43, a clear high point after the mid-race dip. She closed with an 8:51 final mile to the Pearl Street Mall finish. Racing at Boulder's altitude, over 5,000 feet, Aldama's pacing shows a runner capable of strong recovery mid-race a pattern worth building on with an eye toward smoothing that final-mile fade in future starts.
