Date: Sept. 27, 2026 Participant: Joelle Kaufman #32379 Race: 2026 Boulderthon 10K Distance: 6.2 miles

A Steady Grind Through the Rockies Joelle Kaufman covered the 10K in 1:01:46, finishing behind her 2025 Boulderthon time of 54:58 on the same distance. Her pace held in the 9:20s through most of the race, dipping to 10:02 at mile three before rebounding. Her strongest stretch came at mile five, where she clocked 9:19 min/mile, the fastest mile of her race, before the pace eased over the final mile. Running at Boulder's altitude of over 5,000 feet, Kaufman's mid-race mile stands out as the highlight of an otherwise consistent effort. With another year of racing experience, she may look to carry that mile-five rhythm further into the closing stretch next time.
