Strong Start Fuels a Top-Tier 10K Finish Yamato Ohinata completed the 2026 Boulderthon 10K in 47:20, finishing 103rd overall and 75th among men a result placing him firmly in the top tier of a 3,071-person field. Ohinata built his race on a steady early pace, holding between 7:29 and 7:37 per mile through the first four miles before surging to a 6:51 fifth mile, his fastest of the race. That push moved him into contention before a 8:28 final mile settled his overall time. Racing at over 5,000 feet of elevation, his consistent first four miles laid the foundation for that strong fifth-mile effort. A touch more even pacing over the closing miles could help him carry that mid-race speed all the way to the line next time.
