Date: Sept. 27, 2026 Participant: Diego Gamez-Ramos #32641 Race: 2026 Boulderthon 10K Distance: 6.2 miles

Strong Start Fades Late in Steady 10K Effort Diego Gamez-Ramos covered the 2026 Boulderthon 10K in 1:02:23. His race went out quick with a 9:01 opening mile, then he clocked his fastest mile of the day, 8:27, through the second mile. From there, each split lengthened incrementally9:30, 9:47, 10:04before the final stretch slowed further as he neared the Pearl Street Mall finish. Running the 10K distance at Boulder's altitude of over 5,000 feet, Gamez-Ramos showed his best form early, banking time in mile two that helped anchor his overall pace. The middle-to-late miles reflect a gradual fade from that opening surge; targeting a more even effort across miles three through five could help him carry more of that early speed to the finish in future races.
