Fast Start Fuels Steady 10K Finish Nicole Friehauf finished the 2026 Boulderthon 10K in 48:13, finishing 6th in the F 35-39 division. Her early pace was strong, running the first three miles at 5:36 per mile before settling into a more moderate rhythm over the back half of the course. Friehauf's opening 5K was the highlight of her race, built on a sub-6:00 mile pace through the first three miles. That effort came at Boulder's altitude of over 5,000 feet, a factor worth noting given the demands it places on quick early paces. Maintaining more of that early rhythm through the middle miles could be a useful focus for a future race at this distance.
