Steady Pace Effort Carries Solid 10K Finish Dowan Kim finished the 2026 Boulderthon 10K in 58:02, slightly off his 56:48 from 2025. The first two miles were his quickest, clicking off in 9:11 and 8:38, before the pace gradually eased through the middle miles. Miles three and four held near 8:51-9:31, and the final two miles slowed further, with the last mile at 10:32, pulling his overall elapsed pace to 9:21 per mile. Miles one and two stood out as his strongest combined mile-plus stretch of the race, run at a cumulative 8:54 pace before the effort settled into a steadier rhythm. Racing at Boulder's altitude of over 5,000 feet, Kim can look to that early pace as a marker of his fitness heading into future races on this course.
