Steady Pace Through Five Miles Before a Late Fade Alex Comsia finished the 2026 Boulderthon 10K in 52:56, an average pace of 8:32 per mile. Comsia opened with the fastest mile of the day at 7:59, then settled into a consistent 8:148:31 rhythm through the middle miles. His strongest stretch came in miles 45, where he covered two miles in 16:37, rebounding to an 8:08 mile after a slightly slower fourth mile. The final mile slowed to 9:48, the only real dip in an otherwise even effort across the six miles. Racing at Boulder's altitude of over 5,000 feet, Comsia's early pace held firm for the majority of the course before the closing mile cost him some time. Given the strength of his first five miles, a touch more even pacing late could help him carry that rhythm all the way to the Pearl Street Mall finish next time.
