Date: Sept. 27, 2026 Participant: Lauren Ruder #30272 Race: 2026 Boulderthon 10K Distance: 6.2 miles

Steady Start Carries Through 10K Finish Lauren Ruder finished the 2026 Boulderthon 10K in 1:04:32. Her opening mile was her fastest of the race at 9:30, and she moved through the first three miles in under 30 minutes before the pace eased over the back half. Boulder's altitude, over 5,000 feet, sits behind every stride on this course. Ruder's race finished on the historic Pearl Street Mall in downtown Boulder, a fitting close to a race that held together well through five miles before the final stretch slowed. A touch more evenly paced effort in the closing miles could help her sustain that strong early rhythm all the way in.
