Date: Sept. 27, 2026 Participant: Railey Mikeska #30211 Race: 2026 Boulderthon 10K Distance: 6.2 miles

Strong Start Fades Into a Steady Grind Through Boulder's Backroads Railey Mikeska covered the 10K in 58:17. Her race opened fast, with a 2nd mile split of 8:13 the quickest stretch of her day before the pace eased gradually across the back half, closing with a 10:22 final mile. That early speed reflects well against the terrain: Boulder sits above 5,000 feet, and holding sub-8:30 pace through the first two miles at that elevation is a solid foundation. The next race could focus on smoothing the transition after mile two, aiming to hold closer to that opening rhythm as the miles accumulate.
