Strong Start Fuels a Steady 10K Finish Aaron Cassio ran the 2026 Boulderthon 10K in 49:50, an 8:02 min/mile pace, finishing 27th in the men's 30-34 division. His race showed a controlled build early onsplitting 7:41 through the first mile before settling into the mid-7:50s pace through mile four. A strong fifth mile, his fastest of the day at 7:30, pulled his cumulative pace back down to 7:51 min/mile, the tightest margin of the race. The final mile eased to 9:04, a reasonable trade-off after that surge, closing out a well-paced effort overall. Cassio's race concluded on the Pearl Street Mall in downtown Boulder, a finish shared by every distance in the event. Running through a city sitting over 5,000 feet of elevation, his ability to negotiate a mid-race gear change into mile five stands out as the highlight of his effort.
