Date: Sept. 27, 2026 Participant: Eric Gaucin #32798 Race: 2026 Boulderthon 10K Distance: 6.2 miles
**Steady Miles Capped by a Strong Fifth-Mile Push** Eric Gaucin finished the 2026 Boulderthon 10K in 1:03:52, an average pace of 10:18 per mile. Gaucin's opening miles held tight in the 10:1210:42 range, a consistent rhythm through the first four miles. His strongest stretch came in mile five, where he dropped to 8:58, the fastest mile of his race, before easing back over the closing mile into downtown Boulder. Given that Boulder sits above 5,000 feet, that late surge stands out as a well-timed push before the finish on the Pearl Street Mall.
