Nearly 12 Minutes Faster, Cracking the Top 3% Daniel Kemeny ran a 45:49 in the 10K, finishing 82nd overall out of the field of 3,071 and 63rd among men. That result marks a sharp improvement from his 57:44 in the 2025 Boulderthon 10K, cutting almost 12 minutes off his time. His pacing stayed remarkably even through the first five miles, hovering between 6:56 and 7:31 per mile, before easing slightly over the final stretch. His fifth mile was the standout of the race, clocked at 6:56, the fastest of his six splits and a strong closing kick before the finish. That mile also pushed him into the top 100 overall at that checkpoint. Given that Boulder sits above 5,000 feet of elevation, maintaining that kind of consistent pace across the course speaks well of his fitness and pacing strategy.
