Seven-Minute Pace Sustained for Big 10K Improvement Murphy Stubbs finished the 2026 Boulderthon 10K in 46:08, placing 86th overall and 65th among men out of a field of 3,071. That mark cut more than seven minutes off his 53:16 from the 2023 Boulderthon 10K, a jump from 141st overall to 86th. Stubbs opened at a 7:23 pace and steadily sharpened through the middle miles, hitting his fastest mile of the day at mile three in 7:04. He held in the 7:07-7:27 range through mile five before easing to an 8:22 close, still finishing with his cumulative pace under 7:30 for the full 10K. Running at Boulder's altitude of over 5,000 feet, that even, controlled pacing through the race's midsection stands out as the strongest stretch of his performance.
