That trims a few seconds off his 54:57 from the 2025 Boulderthon, with his overall pace tightening from 8:51 to 8:48 per mile. The race unfolded in a consistent, controlled rhythm. Choi opened steady through the first three miles in the high 8:30s to low 9:00s, then found his best stretch from miles 4 to 5, covering that mile in 8:02 as his fastest of the day. He eased slightly over the final mile, closing in 9:12, for a well-managed effort across the distance. Racing at Boulder's elevation of over 5,000 feet, holding pace within such a tight band from start to finish reflects disciplined execution worth building on for next year.
