Fast Start Carries Runner to a Top-Tier 10K Finish Bianca Calderon crossed the line in 50:30, good for 179th overall and 54th among women in a field of 3,071. She banked her quickest mile right out of the gate, covering the opening mile in 6:41 before settling into a steadier rhythm across the middle miles. The pace eased through miles three and four, dipped back down for mile five, then slowed again over the final mile as the 10K wrapped up at 8:08 per mile overall. Racing at over 5,000 feet of elevation, Calderon's early speed set the tone for a race that trended positive after a strong opening surge. With that first mile as her benchmark, finding a touch more consistency in the middle third could sharpen her overall pace in future 10Ks.
