Date: Sept. 27, 2026 Participant: David Foley #31497 Race: 2026 Boulderthon 10K Distance: 6.2 miles

Steady Pacing Capped by a Strong Fifth Mile David Foley, 41, of Fort Collins, completed the 10K at the 2026 Boulderthon in 52:07, an 8:24 min/mile pace. His cumulative pace tightened steadily through the race, dropping from 8:49 at mile one to 8:23 by mile five before settling in for the finish. His strongest stretch came in mile five, clocked at 7:37, the fastest mile of his race and a clear surge after a string of splits in the mid-8:00s. Running at Boulder's altitude of over 5,000 feet, that mile stands out as the highlight of an otherwise even, well-controlled effort across the course.
