Staffen's cumulative pace held in a tight band throughout, never drifting far from the 9:30s per mile mark from the opening mile to the finish. Her strongest mile came between miles 4 and 5, a 9:01 split that pulled her overall pace down to its fastest point of the day. That stretch stands out as the highlight of an otherwise even effort.
