Date: Sept. 27, 2026 Participant: Alex Lascelles #31042 Race: 2026 Boulderthon 10K Distance: 6.2 miles

Fast Start Fades Late in Steady 10K Finish Alex Lascelles completed the 2026 Boulderthon 10K in 1:00:26, an overall pace of 9:44 per mile. Lascelles opened strong, covering the first two miles at an 8:16 pace, the fastest stretch of his race. From there, the pace eased steadily each mile, settling into the 9:0010:30 range through mile 5 before the final mile slowed further. Given Boulder's elevation above 5,000 feet, holding sub-8:20 pace early was a solid foundation, and there may be room to distribute effort more evenly across the back half in future 10K efforts.
