Steady Pacing Fuels a Strong 10K Finish Irvin Flores covered the 2026 Boulderthon 10K in 51:17, finishing 16th in the men's 20-24 division. His race built steadily through the middle miles, dropping from an 8:37 opening mile to a quicker rhythm by mile three, then hit his best mile of the day at mile five in 7:29 before easing up over the final stretch to the Pearl Street Mall finish. Racing at Boulder's altitude of over 5,000 feet, Flores showed his sharpest form in the middle of the course, particularly that fifth mile surge. With his overall pacing fairly even through the first four miles, he might look to carry that late-race strength a bit earlier next time out for an even smoother finish.
