Strong Start Fuels a Steady 10K Finish Amanda Slezsak crossed the 10K in 1:04:07, an overall pace of 10:20 per mile. Her Boulderthon history shows continued familiarity with the race, having run the half marathon in 2024 at a 10:32 pace a mark she edged past here despite the shorter distance carrying its own pacing demands. The opening miles were her sharpest work of the day: miles one through three ticked by in 9:56, 9:46, and 9:47, the fastest 5K of her race. From there, the pace eased through miles four and five before the final mile slowed to 12:29, pulling her overall average back toward 10:20. Given Boulders elevation above 5,000 feet, the early tempo stands as the highlight, and a touch more evenness across the back half could sharpen the finish next time.
