Date: Sept. 27, 2026 Participant: Alix Kientz #32583 Race: 2026 Boulderthon 10K Distance: 6.2 miles

Steady Pace Holds Firm Through Boulder's 10K Alix Kientz completed the 2026 Boulderthon 10K in 1:02:13, an average pace of 10:02 per mile. Her race opened briskly with a 9:03 opening mile, the fastest of her day, before settling into the 10:20-10:35 range through the middle miles. She found another gear in mile five, clocking 9:30, her second-strongest mile, before easing to the finish on the Pearl Street Mall. Running at Boulder's altitude of over 5,000 feet, Kientz's ability to rebound with that fifth-mile surge after a tougher middle stretch is a solid marker of tenacity, and a pattern worth building on with more work on sustaining that early rhythm deeper into future races.
