Date: Sept. 27, 2026 Participant: Yves De La Costa #30835 Race: 2026 Boulderthon 10K Distance: 6.2 miles

Steady Pace Through Boulder Delivers Solid 10K Finish Yves De La Costa completed the 2026 Boulderthon 10K in 54:06, an overall pace of 8:43 per mile. His fastest stretch came over the first two miles, covering that distance in 16:42, an 8:21 average, before easing slightly through the middle miles. He closed with a slower final mile, finishing in the 9:39 range, as the cumulative pace crept up from 8:21 to 8:43 by the finish. Racing through Boulder, which sits above 5,000 feet, De La Costa's early rhythm reflected sound pacing before the elevation and effort combined to slow him late. The 10K field started at 8:10 AM, and like every Boulderthon distance, his race ended on the historic Pearl Street Mall in downtown Boulder. A touch more even pacing across the back half could help him carry that early rhythm all the way to the finish.
