Steady Pace Carries Him Through the 10K Jaydon Shatek finished the 2026 Boulderthon 10K in 52:19, averaging 8:26 per mile across the 6.2-mile course. Shatek's early miles were his sharpest, opening with an 8:15 first mile and settling into a rhythm between 8:04 and 8:18 through the middle of the race. His strongest mile-plus stretch came from mile 3 to mile 5, where he covered two miles in roughly 16:24, dipping as low as 7:54 for the fifth mile. The final mile slowed to 9:36, but the earlier consistency kept his overall pace strong. Every Boulderthon distance finishes on the Pearl Street Mall in downtown Boulder, a fitting close to a well-paced effort at altitude above 5,000 feet.
