Date: Sept. 27, 2026 Participant: Oliver Wintermute #31552 Race: 2026 Boulderthon 10K Distance: 6.2 miles

Strong Pack Placement Fuels a Steady 10K Finish Oliver Wintermute crossed in 51:17, finishing 199th overall and 134th among men in a field of 3,071 at the 2026 Boulderthon 10K. His mile splits held close to an 8:15 pace through most of the race, dipping into the low 8-teens before a sharp mile five split of 7:37, his fastest full mile of the day. A late fade to 8:51 in the final mile closed things out, but the overall shape stayed remarkably even across the course. Racing at altitude in Boulder, sitting over 5,000 feet, that consistency stands out. Sustaining that mile five surge a bit longer could be worth exploring next time.
