Her race began briskly a 6:16 opening mile before settling into a steady climb in per-mile times through the middle miles, reaching 11:04 by mile four. She found a second wind in mile five, clocking 9:57, before easing through the final mile to the finish. That opening mile was the standout stretch of the day, run well under her eventual overall pace and delivered at over 5,000 feet of elevation in Boulder.
