Steady Pace Carries Strong Negative Split in the 10K Andrew Wicker finished the 2026 Boulderthon 10K in 1:00:28, an average pace of 9:45 per mile. Wicker's race built steadily through the middle miles, dropping from a 10:04 opening mile to a strong 8:52 fifth mile his fastest stretch of the race. That surge trimmed his cumulative pace from 9:55 through 3 miles down to 9:39 through 5, before a 10:12 final mile settled his overall time. The race finished on the Pearl Street Mall in downtown Boulder, a fitting close to a race run entirely above 5,000 feet of elevation.
