Strong Start Fuels a Steady 10K Finish Jenna Jeffords finished the 2026 Boulderthon 10K in 55:10, an 8:53/mile pace. This continues a multi-year progression through Boulderthon's shorter distances, following a 26:21 5K in 2025 and a 28:18 5K in 2024. Jeffords opened fast, clicking off her first mile in 8:07 and holding an 8:08 pace through two miles. The middle miles eased slightly, with mile four slowing to 9:30, before she settled into a strong closing mile-to-mile stretch, covering miles four through five in 8:58. That opening mile stands as her standout stretch of the race, the quickest sustained running of her day. Given Boulder's elevation above 5,000 feet, the early pace reflects solid form, and there's room to experiment with a more even effort across the middle miles in future races.
