Strong Closing Mile Powers Top 10% Finish Holland Bostrom crossed the 10K line in 51:49, good for 224th overall out of 3,071 entrants and 151st among men a finish inside the top 10% of the field. He opened with an 8:24 opening mile, held that rhythm through the middle miles, and then produced his fastest mile of the race in the sixth, clocking 8:10 to bring his overall pace to 8:21 per mile. That closing mile stood out as the strongest stretch of his day, showing a runner who found another gear late rather than fading. Racing at Boulder's altitude of over 5,000 feet, holding sub-8:30 pace across the back half is a solid marker to build from worth targeting an even split next time out.
