Her race opened fast, with a 9:20 first mile, the quickest of her day, before easing through a middle stretch that touched 10:07 by mile four. She found another gear over mile five, clocking 9:34, before the final mile slowed to 11:38 as she approached the Pearl Street Mall finish. Racing at altitude, with Boulder sitting above 5,000 feet, Quinn's early pace reflected a well-managed opening effort. Given how comfortably she moved through the first three miles, a touch more even pacing into the back half could help her sustain that opening rhythm all the way to the finish next time.
