Steady Start Fuels a Solid 10K Finish Jake Yellico completed the 2026 Boulderthon 10K in 54:52, finishing 357th overall and 224th among men in a field of 3,071. Yellico's opening mile was his fastest stretch, clocking 8:04, and he maintained a strong cumulative pace through the first three miles, holding around 8:17 per mile. His pace gradually eased over the middle miles, settling near 8:30 per mile by mile five, before the final stretch slowed his overall average slightly to close out the race. Given Boulder's elevation above 5,000 feet, Yellico's ability to sustain a consistent pace through the middle miles reflects solid pacing execution. With a strong first-mile split and controlled effort in the middle of the race, Yellico has a good foundation to build on for even splits in future 10Ks.
