Steady Pace Anchors Strong 10K Finish Dalton Rue crossed the line in 43:44, topping the Male 14 & Under division. Fort Collins' Rue built a race with wire-to-wire consistency, holding between 6:52 and 7:04 pace through the first four miles before finding another gear. Mile five proved the standout stretch, dropping to 6:30 the fastest mile of the day before the pace eased to 7:53 over the closing mile as the finish neared. That surge through mile five, paired with the early consistency, made for a well-executed 10K overall, run at Boulder's altitude of over 5,000 feet.
