Date: Sept. 27, 2026 Participant: Dana Alvarez #32929 Race: 2026 Boulderthon 10K Distance: 6.2 miles

Fast Start Fuels Steady 10K Dana Alvarez finished the 2026 Boulderthon 10K in 55:42, an 8:59 per mile pace. She opened with her quickest mile of the race, 7:57, then settled into the high 8:00s and low 9:00s through the middle miles before a 10:09 close brought her home. Running at over 5,000 feet of elevation in Boulder, Alvarez's brisk opening mile set the tone for a race that gradually eased pace-wise across the remaining miles. She closed out the 10K on the historic Pearl Street Mall in downtown Boulder, with that first mile standing as the clear highlight of her effort.
