Date: Sept. 27, 2026 Participant: Ashton Hudson #31402 Race: 2026 Boulderthon 10K Distance: 6.2 miles

Strong Start Fades Late in the 10K Ashton Hudson, 20, of Boulder, completed the 2026 Boulderthon 10K in 58:53, an overall pace of 9:29 per mile. Hudson opened briskly, covering the first two miles at an 8:36 pace, then eased gradually as the race progressed. Miles three through five slid to a 9:02, 9:23, and 9:40 pace respectively, with the final mile slowing further to 11:29. That opening pair of miles stands as his fastest sustained stretch of the day, and building a touch more pace discipline there could help him carry that early rhythm deeper into future 10Ks. The race finished on the Pearl Street Mall in downtown Boulder, a fitting cap to a course run at over 5,000 feet of elevation.
